I am a book nerd. Big time book nerd. When I'm in "book mode" I can read anywhere between 3-5 books during the course of the week. I'm up to 2 this week already, with the next one waiting on my nightstand. So when my sister-in-law mentioned she was in a book club, I asked if I could join. Thankfully she said yes, once again fueling my book reading necessity.
For some reason it took me a while to figure out that I should make cookies based on the book we were reading. Actually, it hadn't even crossed my mind until one of the other girls asked if I was bringing cookies based on the book last month (The Hunger Games trilogy--if you haven't read it, go get it now, and you can come look at the pretty cookies later). Sadly, I didn't have enough time to do cookies for that book club (will definitely be making mockingjay cookies for the movie though!), so I decided to start doing them for this meeting's book:
Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman. The setting for the majority of the book takes place in Savannah, so I thought doing a postcard like cookie would be fun. Plus I was dying to try out the technique for the flowers. Check out the results below!

Oh my gosh! These are fabulous. What an honor. Thanks so much for reading my novel and making beautiful cookies to go along with it! Oletta would be a little jealous. LOL!
