My oldest friend (not due to age, but rather how long we've known each other-since we were one!) got engaged a few weeks ago. She came to visit after she got engaged, so of course, I had to make her a cookie to celebrate! And what's better than a sparkly wedding dress!?!
Congrats Lindsey & I can't wait for your wedding in December!

A "Super" 30th Birthday {SuperMan Inspired Cookies}
One of my sweet friends asked me to make some "Super" cookies for her husband's 30th birthday party. Apparently he was a fan of SuperMan in middle school. And high school. And college. And *maybe* is still a fan today. We decided to do a twist on the traditional SuperMan logo, swapping out the "S" for the birthday boy's initial "B." Then she sent me a short list of other "Super" nicknames for Brad that we made into cookies as well. Here's what we came up with!
Thanks Heidi! I'm so glad Brad enjoyed his cookies!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Cookies {Redux}
Hi everyone! I have more cookies to show you! Well, you've already seen them once, but I made some slight changes to my {now} most popular cookies! Seriously, I've had more inquiries about these cookies than any others I have made. Check out the new selection of food for the caterpillar (and changes to the caterpillar himself) below!
Thanks Deidre!
I can't get this to face the right way. I don't know why. I give up. |

Let The Hunger Games Begin! {Hunger Games Cookies}
In December of 2010, my book pal Sarah (instead of letters like a pen pal would send, we send each other books) told me I needed to read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I downloaded them to my Kindle and started reading. Four days, and very little sleep, later I had finished the entire series. I fell in love immediately with the trilogy. I couldn't get enough. A couple of weeks later, I read it again. Now more than a year later-and the hardback copies purchased as well, I have read the series 6 times. I LOVE it that much. The story hooks you in immediately, and never lets you go throughout the three books. So naturally when it was announced it would be made in to a movie, I was a little weary, and excited at the same time. I am very particular when it comes to movie adaptations of my favorite books. Some have succeeded (Harry Potter, The Help, Gone with the Wind), and many have failed (I'm looking at you Twilight Saga). BUT I am really, really, REALLY excited to go see The Hunger Games at midnight tonight. From everything I've seen-trailers, clips, stills, reviews-it look like they followed the book pretty closely, only adding in a few scenes outside of Katniss' perspective.
So, with my excitement dialed up to 11, I knew I had to do something special to celebrate the release of the movie. And what better way to do so than by making cookies??? Enjoy, and

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Cookies
A few months ago I made some baby shower cookies for my friend Amy's sister-in-law. I don't think I ever posted them, because I'm pretty sure I forgot to take pictures of them except for one I snapped on my cell phone. Oops. Anyway, the mommy-to-be loved them so much she emailed me last month and asked me to make some for her little boy's 3rd birthday! Branson is having a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" themed party this weekend, so Cassie wanted some cookies to go along with the party. We picked a few of the foods that the caterpillar eats through to make into cookies, as well as the caterpillar himself. Below are the results!
Thanks Cassie! I hope Branson has a great party!

What Will It Bee? {Gender Reveal Party Cookies}
I've mentioned on here before about how much I love babies. LOVE. THEM. A friend of mine went to the doctor today to see if she is having a boy or a girl. Unlike me who had to know everything IMMEDIATELY, she waited until this evening to know what she is having. She and her husband hosted a gender reveal party to have all of their family (and her, her husband went ahead and found out this morning) find out at the same time. The theme of their party was "What Will It Bee?" and wanted some fun cookies to go along with it. Below are the cookies we made for this very special occasion!
Thanks Karie & congrats on your BOY!!!
