Catching Fire Cookies

I know I'm WAY, WAY behind on updating here (seriously. It's been 6 months). And once again I'll remind you I keep the Facebook page updated. So yeah.

Anyway, I recently started a blog to review and discuss books (here). I love books, and so I figured what better way to combine my love of books and cookies than to make The Hunger Games: Catching Fire cookies? The movie comes out today and I am SO excited. I even hosted a giveaway on my Facebook page to give away 2 sets of these cookies. Enjoy!

And here's the cookies I did for the first Hunger Games movie!

Community Partners Cookies

I am a member of the Community Partners/Rainbow Room board (helps CPS) here in Amarillo. They recently had an event they needed cookies for. I used the logo as the design for the cookie. Thanks Stephanie!

Batman Logo Cookies

My husband and I are HUGE movie fans. We've been to countless midnight premieres, especially for comic book movies (I'm an awesome wife...). So... this time I made cookies for us and our friends that went to see the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises back in July. My husband requested old school Batman cookies, so that's what I made... Enjoy!

Harley Davidson Cookies

My totally awesome friend Sarah asked me to make some cookies for her dad for Father's Day (yep, I'm THAT far behind). I LOVED making these cookies! Thanks Sarah!

Law Firm & Ranch Cookies

One of the local law firms here had a bunch of events for their interns over the summer. The first set of cookies are the law firm's logo for a cookout. The second set of cookies were for a day at a ranch for the interns. Enjoy!

Breast Cancer Survivor Cookies

A friend of mine has a co-worker who recently finished her breast cancer treatment. The ladies at her office decided to throw her a party, and I was more than happy to provide some cookies!

A "Super" 30th Birthday {SuperMan Inspired Cookies}

 One of my sweet friends asked me to make some "Super" cookies for her husband's 30th birthday party. Apparently he was a fan of SuperMan in middle school. And high school. And college. And *maybe* is still a fan today. We decided to do a twist on the traditional SuperMan logo, swapping out the "S" for the birthday boy's initial "B." Then she sent me a short list of other "Super" nicknames for Brad that we made into cookies as well. Here's what we came up with!

Thanks Heidi! I'm so glad Brad enjoyed his cookies!

Opportunity School {logo cookies}

A couple of weeks ago a childhood friend of mine called to see if I would make her some cookies for an upcoming board meeting for a non-profit is involved with helping. I looked up the website and fortunately it was one that would easily translate to a cookie!

Check out the cookies below, and then go check out their website: http://www.opportunityschool.com

Thanks Lindsey!

The Junior League

Recently I made some cookies for the Amarillo Junior League. These cookies were for an underwriting meeting (ie: "give us money" meeting), hence the dollar signs.

The Junior League logo

Simple dollar sign cookies (with sparkly sanding sugar dollar signs!)

Cookie platter that won't cooperate and turn the right way...
Thanks LaDonna!
